What is WES and who needs it?
WES (World Education Services) evaluates international academic credentials for use in Canada, the USA and internationally. A WES evaluation is required for: Canadian Express Entry immigration (IRCC accepts WES-evaluated degrees), US visa applications requiring academic credential assessment, applications to foreign universities, and employment at multinationals requiring international background checks.
If you are staying in India: WES recognition is irrelevant for your career. NAAC grade and UGC-DEB approval are the relevant criteria.
