Two blended MBAs, one big difference in how you get in
Both programmes run for two years, both are aimed at working professionals with 3+ years of experience, and both mix online delivery with campus time. The sharpest difference is the admission route: IIM Mumbai asks for a CAT, GMAT or GRE score (or its own CAT-pattern IMAT), while IIM Nagpur uses its own IIMNAT and does not require CAT.

How to read the fee gap
At ₹12,10,000 + 18% GST, IIM Nagpur works out to about ₹14.28 lakh (₹14,27,800). IIM Mumbai's ₹15 lakh already includes taxes, so the all-in gap is roughly ₹72,000 on IIM Mumbai's annual plan; its module-wise plan totals ₹16,00,000, which widens the gap to about ₹1.72 lakh. On price alone the two are close; the decision rests on entry route, format and fit.
Choose IIM Mumbai if…
- You already hold a valid CAT, GMAT or GRE score, or are comfortable sitting a CAT-pattern test
- Your work leans toward operations, supply chain, analytics or projects — the year-1 core covers operations, industrial engineering, supply chain, data science, project management and optimisation
- You want a larger elective menu in year 2 (12 electives plus 3 online electives) and a group project and capstone
Choose IIM Nagpur if…
- You would rather not take a CAT-pattern test and prefer IIM Nagpur's own IIMNAT
- You want more campus touchpoints — four immersions against two
- The fee structure and the programme's online evening-and-weekend rhythm suit your schedule
What the programme pages don't let us compare
- IIM Nagpur's detailed curriculum — see its programme page
- Regulatory recognition of IIM Mumbai's MBA–BPGP, which its page does not state — ask the institute if it matters for your plans
- Placement or career outcomes — neither page promises a job or advancement
